Welcome back, Heron Heights Hawks!

We are excited to welcome our students and families to another incredible school year at Heron Heights Elementary! We hope your summer was filled with fun, relaxation, and special memories. As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we look forward to filling our classrooms and hallways with curiosity, learning, leadership, and meaningful connections.

We are proud to celebrate another outstanding achievement as Heron Heights Elementary has once again earned an "A" school grade and continues to be one of the highest-performing elementary schools in Broward County. Our school ranks among the top schools in the district and in the top 2% of elementary schools across the state of Florida. Over the past three years, we have continued to reach new heights, increasing our overall school performance by eight percentage points and achieving the highest scores in our school's history. These accomplishments are a testament to the dedication of our students, staff, families, and community working together toward a shared vision of excellence.

This year brings even more excitement as we unveil newly reimagined learning spaces throughout our campus. These innovative environments are designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning while providing engaging spaces where every child can thrive.

As we continue our Leader in Me journey, we remain committed to empowering every student to recognize their unique strengths, set meaningful goals, and develop the confidence to lead. This year, our focus on goal-setting will encourage students to dream big, work hard, persevere through challenges, and celebrate their growth every step of the way.

At Heron Heights Elementary, we believe every child has the potential to lead and succeed. Together, we will continue Leading the Way - Growing Learners, Building Leaders as we inspire excellence, foster character, and create opportunities for every student to shine.

Dear Heron Heights Families,

It continues to be an honor to serve as your Assistant Principal at Heron Heights Elementary. I remain deeply committed to helping every child thrive in a nurturing, positive, and engaging learning environment.

Our journey as a Leader in Me School has already brought many opportunities for students to recognize their individual strengths, take ownership of their learning, and develop important leadership and life skills. It has been wonderful to see our students demonstrating these habits as leaders in their classrooms and throughout our campus.

I am grateful for the partnership we share with our talented teachers, dedicated staff, and supportive parents as we work together to create meaningful learning experiences for all students. Building strong relationships with our families remains a top priority, and I truly believe that when we collaborate, every child can reach their fullest potential.

Teamwork and innovation continue to guide our efforts as we support the diverse needs of our students and strengthen communication with our families and community. Your feedback, questions, and ideas are always welcome, and I encourage you to reach out anytime. I’m always happy to listen, collaborate, and support.

Heron Heights Students, Families, and Community Members,

Welcome to a new school year at Heron Heights Elementary!

As I begin my second year as Assistant Principal at Heron Heights, I am filled with gratitude and excitement for the year ahead. Looking back on last year, I feel incredibly thankful for the relationships we built, the memories we created, and the opportunity to become part of such an amazing school community. Heron Heights has truly become a place that feels like home.

What makes Heron Heights so special are the people. Our dedicated teachers and staff, supportive families, and incredible students create a school culture where everyone is valued, encouraged, and inspired to do their best. Every day, I see acts of kindness, teamwork, and leadership that remind me how fortunate I am to be part of this community.

This year brings new opportunities for learning, growth, and celebration. Together, we will continue building on the strong foundation we have created while helping every student reach their fullest potential. Through our work with The Leader in Me, we will continue encouraging our students to lead with confidence, make responsible choices, and develop the habits that will help them succeed both in and out of the classroom.

I am grateful for the partnership we share with our families. Your support, trust, and involvement play such an important role in your child's success, and I look forward to continuing to work together throughout the year. We all share the same goal: creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where every child feels seen, supported, and challenged to grow.

As we begin this new school year, I encourage our students to be curious, work hard, be kind, and never be afraid to take on new challenges. I know this year will be filled with meaningful learning experiences, lasting friendships, and many reasons to celebrate.
